Review: Side: The Paper Man animated short was very good. The animation was a unique blend of CGI, but made to look as hand-drawn animation. The only small problem I had with it is that the short mad at the end and is amazing. Another cute.Being a gamer, I decided to go to this movie. I knew the film would go on to be good, but I did not expect it really well. The action, humor, voice acting, plot, and animation are all great. As this film is aimed at gamers, I feel like a lot of the cameo's and jokes go over most heads of people to fly, as All your base are belong to us written on a subway wall or Leroy Jenkins was here . Fortunately, the film does not appeal to cameo's to successful. The animation Wreck-It Ralph she is very beautiful, and is great in the video game world to express. I do not see it in 3D, but only watching in 2D, I can tell you that this film would look great in 3D. The animators really good in this film, because every video game world looks vastly different from the others. Each world feels like a real video game that I've played. If there is a problem that I can bring out in this film (and many others have noticed it too) is that the plot focuses on the Sugar Rush world a bit too much. Most other worlds to initially mainly for the sake of reference, with only a few actually important. The humor Wreck-It Ralph is good because it is a very large public. A lot of the jokes and cameo's are related to video games, but there are many movie references as well, puns, silly jokes, and some coarse humor. Some people have complained to the coarse humor, but honestly does not bother me, because it came from a character who looks like they are five, so actually sense. The interesting thing about Wreck-It Ralphs plot is that very few to do with an external conflict, but with an internal (a pun on him because they are in the video games). There is a great bad guy, and a huge disaster, and all the other conflicts, but these elements backseat to the character. I thought it was neat, since most animated films do the opposite. The voices of all the characters were really well done. It was not all bad characters that contribute to the film. One other fun thing about the plot is that the main bad guy is not revealed until the end of the film, the plot to the characters, not the action or the villain.Overall really a great movie focus. Spectacular animation, great voice work, emotional and even touching at times, and overall fun. While the Sugar Rush world may be something stale after a while, it is still an excellent film. Gamers, it's you, see this movie! |
