Review: Wow - this is not expected. The trailer had me believe that after the Battle of LA and this will again be a memorable, action-packed, special effects and other driving gloomy popular Sci-Fi alien attack - what ô l trailer has almost failed to deliver that in a long period of time, this is also experienced with nearly as much humor as Groundhog Day. It will invite comparison with classical Harold Rhamis / Bill Murray obvious, given the first link, but I never expected the level where they really are fair comparison and that this film certainly explores the same kind of comedy. Fortunately, it is all the better for unexpected it.Most all, the main reason a funny side in the first half of the film works well, that was Tom Cruises, Major William Cage. This is easy Browsing meatiest role since the turn as Frank TJ Mackey in Magnolia; forget the poster boy hero strict routine: here he's playing a different person? and it really seemed to enjoy the opportunity. I wont give away too much, but be prepared to laugh and laugh when you see a new side of Tom Cruise.Yet although this is not nearly as bleak as the trailer suggested, the comedy is definitely not either. And it really IS an action-packed, special effects-driven Sci-Fi popular to fight the alien invasion (trailer got that right), albeit one with great characters and funny bone. Speaking of which, the whole cast is also very good, especially the beautiful Emily Blunt. It seems that no matter what he does, he's always come across as genuine and real; here he manages to portray his character - a tough soldier, the military suffered another refers to the full metal bitch (no kidding!) - a charming style to make it more reliable weaknesses. Bill Paxton and Brendon Gleeson is always a welcome addition to any film, and while they are great (as usual), character-wise, they do not do anything here that you've never seen them do before this . For the view that the Sci-Fi trailer promised, I am happy to report that the film is achieving. Battle scenes are (Transformer-style blur where you cant do anything else) wonderful orchestra, and there are times when the intensity of the battle remember the landing on Omaha Beach in Saving Private Ryan - without violence, explicit (top Back to all, this PG- 13). Alien design - production design in general - are doing well, although I would be lying if I said it was something groundbreaking and new ways first Matrix (REALLY surprising, though) So, my decision. With one of the most inventive script (adjusted) for the original film (mega-budget) in a long time Tom Cruise and the best we've seen in years, Edge of Tomorrow have laughed and laughed almost as much; drop your jaw in awe: this is what Hollywood should take as a blueprint for an exciting summer entertainment from now on. 9 stars out 10.Favorite Movies: http://www.imdb.com/list/ls054200841/ |
